Arthritis

Arthritis or arthrosis is a degenerative or traumatic, progressive joint disease. All joint structures – such as cartilage, bone, synovia, meniscus, tendon and muscle – can be affected. Arthritis leads to an altered or halted joint function and develops from a disproportion between load and load-capacity of a joint. Primary arthritis develops from an inferior cartilage; its cause is still unknown. Secondary arthritis can be caused by metabolic disturbances, such as Diabetes Mellitus, neurogenic and rheumatic diseases, inappropriate biomechanical stresses, trauma (sports injuries), inflammatory diseases or age related issues.
